Description

This is a walking wheel otherwise known as the giant wheel. Walking wheels are an early type of spinning wheel. The wheel can only be used for long draw spinning and most of the time only requires one active hand at a time. Standing at an average of 1.5 metres, the wheel produces short staple fibres and can be used for wool and cotton.
