A short-stemmed hat pin with a pearlised piece of cream plastic encased in cream plastic and gold metallic thread ribbon effect. This one likely dates to the 1920s or 1930s. Popular from the early 19th Century and into the early 20th Century, hat pins were used for securing a hat, usually by the hair.
