- Description
Mortise door lock from the Riverton Post Office in Palmerston Street which first opened on 27 September 1911. It served the district for 78 years before closing in June 1989. The building still stands and as at 2021 the ground floor was used as a café. The upper floor was originally designed as a residence for the Postmaster with four rooms, a kitchen, pantry and bathroom.
