- Description
A pair of pince-nez spectacles with rose gold coloured frames, dark tinted lenses, a loop on the proper left for a chain or cord to be attached, rubber strips on the nose pads for added comfort and an exaggerated bridge. Popular in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries, pince-nez eyeglasses were secured to the face without earpieces, by pinching the bridge of the nose. The name comes from the French 'pincer', "to pinch," and 'nez', "nose."
