A black and white photograph of John Thomas William Paulin and his two eldest sons, John William, and Sydney Thomas Paulin. John Thomas William Paulin, known as William, was born on 25 April 1877 at Wakatipu to his parents William and Amelia (neé Dyke). William joined the Boer War in South Africa in February 1902, 3 months before the end of the war. His attestation records him working as a miner in Glenorchy at the time. William married Ada Helen Brown in 1913 and had 3 sons and 2 daughters. ...
