Harry, William and Hugh Stewart at Martray in July 1899 with their sister Emily Surtees. They were the children of George Vesey Stewart and Margaret Torrens Stewart (née Miller) who married in Ireland in 1856 and arrived in New Zealand on board the Carisbrooke Castle on 8 June 1875. In this photograph all four siblings are seated. Emily is holding a cat in her lap, and between her and Harry sits a dog.
