Description

This is a mahogany and brass pill machine manufactured around 1918, which was used by pharmacists to mould ingredients into pills. It consists of two main parts, the board and the roller. The roller has two handles which fit over the sides of the board, using wheels to enable it to roll backwards and forwards. The underneath of the roller is fitted with a grooved brass plate that matches the board. Pharmaceutical mixtures were rolled into a thin tube by rolling using the upside of the roller....
