This is a bottle of 'Sloan's Family Liniment'. In 1871 Earl Sloan was engaged in the buying and shipping of horses in America. This period, immediately following the Civil War, marked the heyday of the horse in American life and Sloan made everyday use of his father's horse liniment, and soon his particular formula was in great demand.
