Description

This is a hand-cranked butter churn. The clear pressed glass square jar supports a red metal dasher. The dasher is emboss-cast twice with a script-style "Blow" mark. The screw-on cover has an area of circular perforations. Butter churns are used to produce butter by strenuously agitating separated cream. For small-scale production they were used at dairy farms where the milk had been produced
