Mounted stereograph of Wiremu Patara, Te Tuhi (c.1825-1910) a Ngati Mahuta, Waikato leader whose biography is online in 'Te Ara, the Encyclopedia of New Zealand'. The photograph was taken by George Rose in approximately 1906 and is entitled: 'Tattooed Maori Chief, Auckland, New Zealand This old warrior, Patara Te Tuhi, now lives at Mangere Bridge, Onehunga'.
