This is a Hoover Model 0319 semi electric washing machine. The machine is one of Hoover's Junior series which were designed for smaller dwellings. They were popular in New Zealand in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The machine is 230-260 Volts with the cycle using 500 watts. The mangle on top is still operated using a crank handle.
