A photograph of Christina Gibbon, who was born at Limestone Plains, to Hannah Lydia Pizzie and Benjamin Gibbon, the local blacksmith, on 26th September 1888. Christina trained at Riverton hospital, before enlisting on 6th June 1915, and boarding HMHS 'Rotoroa' for her first posting, in Port Said, Egypt. In 1916 Gibbon was posted to England. During the war she met Dr Tomas Fergus. They married in Chelsea, Middlesex, on 19th July 1917. They had one child, Thomas Gibbon Fergus, born in 1918
