The ship RMS 'Niagara' passing under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, New South Wales, Australia. The Niagara was owned by the Canadian Australasian Line which had a service running from Australia, New Zealand, Fiji , Hawaii and North America which linked passage to and from Europe. The 'Niagara' was sunk at 3.40am on 19th June 1940 after it struck a mine east of the Hen and Chicken Islands, North Bream Bay, New Zealand. The mine was laid by the German ship 'Orion'.
