A sleeveless white cotton corset cover with broderie anglaise detail and lace trim. It fastens up the back with buttons and a small tie at the top. Corset covers were worn from about the 1860s and well into the Edwardian era to help support the silhouette. They hid corset lines, busks and colours and protected outer garments from the hardware used in corsets.
