A black and white photograph of Samuel McDonald McIntosh; born at 'Culblair', Fairfax in 1884, the fifth son for Donald and Christina (née McDonald). A successful farmer, Sam had an active interest in local affairs, according to his obituary published in 1941. A director of the Fairfax dairy company, he was on the Hall Committee, keen member of the Otautau RSA.
