A black and white photograph of John McNaughton. Born in 1864, John, a son of John McNaughton and Annie McIntyre, lived practically his whole life in Riverton. A farmer, John married Elizabeth James in 1890. They had 11 children. Their farm at Otaitai bush 'was generally looked upon as a model farm', and John was deeply involved in local affairs.
