Joan talks about going to school on the Cambridge bus, she mentions McMikens Orchard and Carrington farm. She recalls moving to Hillcrest after she got married and the community facilities available such as, playcentre, plunket, scout hall, Jansen Park, Abels Supermarket, Masters Avenue shops and the Riverlea Art Centre.
