Description

A full-size English willow cricket bat belonging to the Australian cricketer Victor Trumper. Trumper presented the bat to FC Raphael, the secretary of the New Zealand Cricket Council, at the end of the Australian team's 1905 New Zealand tour. The bat features the signatures of the 16 Australian cricket players in ink on the face of the bat. On the back of the bat, in Trumper's handwriting, are his New Zealand scores.
