Minutes of meetings of the Otago Peninsula Co-operative Cheese Factory Company held between 1871 and 1884. John Mathieson, a Scottish immigrant, founded the co-operative movement in the New Zealand dairy industry in the early 1870s on the Otago Peninsula. His farm, Springfield, was the site of the first co-operative cheese factory. The first cheesemaker at this factory was John McGregor.
