Cottage Piano with two candle holders above the keys and two turned legs at the front. John Broadwood & Sons are one of the world's most renowned piano creators; they have created pianos for and/or used by Mozart, Beethoven, Liszt, and many members of the British royal family. While the business has had various names since it was started in 1728 by Burkat Shudi, it became known as John Broadwood & Sons in 1808. John Broadwood was Shudi's son-in-law. The company still manufactures pianos today.
