Pencil drawing of a scene aboard the sailing ship Ida Ziegler. Drawn by the artist while travelling aboard the ship from Auckland, New Zealand to London, England in February 1868. A wooden ship (869 tons), the Ida Ziegler was built at Bremen, and made eight trips to Auckland (first on 21 August 1861, last on 8 November 1868), this port being the only New Zealand port she visited direct from England.
