Description

A horse-drawn vehicle along a road between Rangiawhia (now Rangiaohia, sometimes spelt Rangiowhio) and Te Awamutu, in the Waikato region. Close to the area where the battle of Rangiawhia took place (a confrontation between Waikato Māori, supporters of the Māori King Movement, and the British forces of General (Sir) Duncan Alexander Cameron, on 22 February 1864).
