Description

Aerial photograph of Jackson's Orchard in the Cromwell Gorge during the early construction of the Clyde Dam and before the orchard was flooded. The Jackson family owned this orchard from 1969 - 1989 but were forced to leave the property when the Clyde Dam was being built and flooding of the orchard was imminent. The photograph depicts the family home, buildings relating to the Clyde Dam construction, the old Cromwell Gorge road and the construction of the new higher road.
