Description

School children with bikes and school bags cross Duke Street near Cambridge Primary School. Wilson Street is visible on the right, and in the background is Cambridge Fire Station. The wording taught to school patrols of that era was......’all clear (meaning no cars) poles up, cross now’... and the children would cross the pedestrian crossing.
