Description

Diclofenac potassium loaded sutures based upon PEG/PCL/chitosan-keratin blends were fabricated using the hot-melt extrusion technique. Polymer sutures were evaluated based on their physical, thermal and mechanical properties, while the drug-eluting sutures were evaluated for drug release properties.
