This watercolour painting was created by Tina Lin and depicts four stalks of bamboo intersecting seamlessly with five pink-coloured peonies. It was a Lunar New Year gift from Tina to Lu Xu, who, along with her daughter Grace, had been an art student of Lin’s for many years. It is one of three paintings offered by Lu and Grace as part of the pair's contribution to Te Papa’s Asian Mental Health co-collecting project.
