Photograph showing the house at 117 ? (now 119) Richmond Street in Petone which was the home of William Hartley. It was built in 1886 and 1887 - occupied in August 1887 just in time for the arrival of the 6th Hartley child - Ted (Edward) Hartley. 10 children in all. The house survived the flood in March 1893 which inundated it, and the fire in roof about 1915. Photo probably taken in 1903. (Notes supplied by Colin Henderson, Box 3118 in October 1983)
