Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam account for 98% of total enterprises, employ about 40% of the labour force and contribute about 40% to Vietnam’s gross domestic product (GDP). Vietnam’s SMEs grew by an annual average of 14.6% from 2007 to 2019, with an associated average SME loan growth of 14.7% from 2012 to 2019.
