Description

A black and white photograph looking across a sports stadium in Rome, Italy. There are many marble statues scattered around the perimeters of the stadium. Opened in 1932, it was initially called Foro Mussolini but is now called the Stadio dei Marmi. (Stadium of the Marbles) The stadium is encircled by sixty, 4 metre tall classical statues of athletes made from Carrara marbles.
