South Auckland Poets Collective members Te Karere (Zane) Scarborough, Daren Kamali, Clara Sione, Marina Alefosio, Maryanne Pale and Drew Harding took part in youth development programme. The HYPE programme (Helping Youth Pursue Emancipation), is a youth empowerment initiative which was originally established in America.
