- Description
The Mangorei Combined District Memorial Hall Society was formed in 1946. This opened the Mangorei Memorial Hall at the intersection of Junction Road (SH3) and Kent Road in 1952. The roll of honour in the entrance porch is a polished black granite plaque inscribed: 'In memory of the men of the District who gave their lives in the Great War and World War II'. The eighteen men listed in fact came from Lower Mangorei and vicinity.
