going back over my own photos to check. Presence of Stigmella ilsea mines indicates that the Olearia virgata is original, or that if planted there are/were original plants in close proximity. See mine on bottom left left and centre right leaf. Suggests some further examination for Olearia moth species could be warranted (experience thusfar with light trapping at Carter's has been cold, miserable, unproductive).
