Janet Frame (1924–2004) is one of New Zealand's most renowned and internationally acclaimed writers. She published short stories, novels, children's fiction, and her acclaimed three-volume autobiography 'To the Is-land', 'An Angel at my Table', and 'The Envoy from Mirror City', which were made into a film by director Jane Campion.
