A story pulled together to celebrate the centenary of painter Doris Lusk's birth. Lusk (1916–1990) was born in Dunedin and is well-known for her paintings of Otago and Canterbury. Her landscapes incorporate strong geometric forms and bold colour. Living in Christchurch in the 1940s and 1950s, Lusk exhibited with 'The Group' of artists and writers, associated with Charles Brasch's Caxton Press.
