Max Kennedy. Kennedys Bush in the Port Hills Christchurch was named after Thomas Kennedy. Sophia Streeter grew up in a workhouse and came to New Zealand in 1840 on the ship Aurora. Thomas was involved in shore whaling, owned a farm and quarry.
