Bridge spanning the Hutt River at Lower Hutt since 1844. Located near the site of Fort Richmond.
First bridge (1844-1847); Second bridge (1847-1855); Third bridge (1855-1868), destroyed by flood; Fourth bridge, built by Gus Petherick (1872-1904); Fifth bridge, designed by John Fulton (1904-1929); Sixth (Ewen) bridge, designed by Sladden & Pavitt (1929-1996); Seventh (Ewen) bridge (1996-present).
